Kolb have been building aircraft kits since the early 80‘s.
The design was a creation of the well known Homer Kolb. The design encompases simple but very strong construction of a welded 4130 steel cockpit cage, and all other integral parts are 6061 T6 aluminium. The wings are of rib and spar design and boast huge 6 inch main spars, and all Kolb aircraft have folding wings as standard and truly panoramic visibility with the engine in pusher configuration.
STOL Performance of course.
Currently in the UK the MkIII Twinstar and the MkIII Xtra are type approved kit build aircraft, with plans in the future to introduce the single seat FireFly.
